Guide
Private Label vs. Custom Manufacturing
Both terms mean the product is manufactured to your specification instead of pulled from an existing catalog — but they answer a different question: whose name is on the label when it's done?
Custom Manufacturing
Custom manufacturing means the product is built to your exact spec — fabric, colors, printing, sizing — for your own use. This is the typical order for a team, club, or school: a set of jerseys or hoodies with your team's crest and colors, made for your players to wear. It isn't intended to be resold as a separate product line.
Private Label
Private label goes one step further: the finished product carries your brand's labels, tags, and packaging — not ours — because you intend to sell it under your own name. This is the right path for an activewear brand, a gym launching merchandise, or a business building its own apparel line. We manufacture it; your brand is the only one that shows.
Which One Do You Need?
A simple test: if the product is going to your own players, staff, or members, you want custom manufacturing. If the product is going to be sold, under your brand, to customers who've never heard of us, you want private label. Both use the same production process — sample approval, then bulk — the only difference is whose branding goes on at the end.
